The RAM lab conducts experiments in reading, learning, and memory. Working in this lab you will receive hands-on experience in conducting psychological research. No prior experience is required however PSY 100 is a prerequisite course. Research assistants will gain experience with lab management, literature review and academic writing, experimental design, human-subjects data collection, and data management and analysis. Students may also have the opportunity to present their work at local or regional conferences and/or contribute to published works.
Weekly Responsibilities may include:
Reading journal articles and writing summaries for literature reviews
Working collaboratively to design experimental materials
Bringing participants into the lab and running them through experiments 1-on-1
Data entry and/or other administrative tasks
Meeting with Dr. Sonia for training and/or planning
