Dear Students, 

Please read the information below before sending me an email. 

A. General Suggestions: Related books on my topics of expertise, study materials, software, and career-related guidance:

1. Please drop an email at raktim@iitbbs.ac.in. I generally always reply. 

2. If required, we can meet as per our mutual convenience.

B. Internship/Thesis/Project Openings:

I am looking for –

1. Master's students for thesis. 

2. A JRF with a strong background in integrated photonics and quantum mechanics.

3. Ph.D. student with a strong background and motivation in applied physics and electronics engineering. Having a background in photonics and quantum mechanics will be preferred. 

I am not looking for –

1. Short-term (2-3 months) internship or summer internship students. Email requests will not be answered unless the candidate has a relevant profile. 

2. Online internship students.

3. Mini project students.

Note: Random emails seeking internships, without studying our group activities or expertise, will not be answered. 

C. You can expect a recommendation letter from me only if one of the following is satisfied:

1. You did a thesis with me and performed satisfactorily.

2. You are a co-author of a publication with me.

3. You spent more than six months with me as a JRF or RA and performed satisfactorily.

4. You attended classes for one of my subjects and performed satisfactorily (EX or A), and my letter may play a role or be relevant to the application.

5. I identify you, or you identify yourself, as an exceptional candidate and are ready to justify it.
