Single Molecule Biophysics
A warm welcome to our Lab-webpage. We are an interdisciplinary research group on Chemical-Biology who love to experiment with one molecule, one live-cell at a time, and extend to whole tissues. We believe that this simplistic philosophy will help us in understanding some of the exciting phenomena in life-sciences. By blending our knowledge of physical Sciences, biological Sciences and engineering, we aim to understand the most well-developed living-sensor, 'hearing' and aspire to establish diagnostic tools to understand the health of our body by listening to our ear. We utilize both experimental approaches using Atomic Force Microscope, single-molecule Forster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) using TIRF Microscope, Fluorescence Imaging, Live-cell imaging, Time-Resolved Emission Spectroscopy (TRES), Near-Field Scanning Optical Microscopy (NSOM) etc. as well as computational approaches like Molecular Dynamics and Steered Molecular Dynamics. Please visit our Research page and facilities to learn more about us.
