In the year 2019:

• International Conference on Sustainable Technologies for Industry 4.0, industry professionals and practitioners to display their scientific achievements and sustainable innovative industrial developments in the fields of computer science & engineering, electrical & electronic engineering, textile engineering, robotics and cyber-physical systems that are entering into Industry 4.0. STI 2019 will be held at the permanent campus of the Green University of Bangladesh, Purbachal American City, Rupgonj during 24-25 December 2019.

• Global AI Bootcamp 2019, The event takes place on December 14th, 2019 with venues on every continent. The Global AI Bootcamp is centrally managed by our HQ in the Netherlands with support from Microsoft. The event is a perfect balance of quality content, awesome talks, and hands-on learning with like-minded peers in your community.

National

In the year 2019:

• NASA Space App Challenge 2019 [View Document], NASA had organized this event in 250 Cities Globally. From Bangladesh 9 Cities (Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong, Barisal, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, and Comilla) had participated in this Global Hack-a-Thon. It had involved approximately 50 lac students virtually, and nearly 1,00,000 (1 Lac) students reached in this event. NASA Space Apps Challenge is an international mass collaboration focused on space exploration that takes place over 48-hours in 250 cities around the world. It had organized from October 19-21, 2019, simultaneously all over the world.

• Software-Defined Network, a seminar conducted byMr. Md. Ahsan Habib, Secretary IEEE Computer Society BD Chapter and Associate Professor, Department of Information and Communication Technology, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, and Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Software Engineering, Daffodil International, IEEE SB and CS SBC Green University of Bangladesh, 2019.

• WORKSHOP ON INTRODUCTION TO OPTIMIZATION A 3-hour long workshop on Introduction to Optimization was organized jointly by IEEE Student Branch GUB and IEEE Computer Society Student Branch GUB on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Programming Lab (801), City Campus, Green University of Bangladesh. The keynote speaker Mr. Sujan Sarker, Lecturer Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering, University of Dhaka took a knowledge full workshop on this topic. Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering and Chairperson, Department of Science and engineering, Md. Muhammad Aminur Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE and Mr. Shanto Roy, Lecturer, Department of CSE were present there as special guests. A total of 50 students from different departments participated in the workshop. Mr. Md. Mahin, Lecturer, Department of CSE coordinated the program. The participants came to know what optimization is and why we need to apply optimization. The following topics were covered in the workshop- Brief introduction for optimization, different types of optimization, modeling optimization using python, introduction to NEOS server.

• SEMINAR ON RESEARCH METHODOLOGY IEEE Student Branch GUB has organized a seminar on “Research Methodology” last Friday, 15th March 2019. The seminar was facilitated by Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Chairperson, Department of CSE, GUB and Senior Member IEEE. Assistant Prof. Dr. Md. Aminur Rahaman and Lecturer Md. Mahin was also present within the seminar. The seminar was focused on how to do good quality undergraduate research and how to publish the research in an international conference or peer-reviewed journal.

• Introduction to Latex, Overleaf and GUB Thesis Template, a workshop conducted by Mr. Ashaduzzaman (Lecturer, Dept. of CSE), Venue- Lab 01 (R# 801), Green University of Bangladesh, arranged by IEEE Student Branch, GUB.
