Tool 7: Arduino(TinkerCAD) https://www.tinkercad.com/dashboard?type=circuits&collection=designs
In-Class instruction: Nisumba and Suprabha gave us a presentation on Arduino, different types of Arduino, use of microcontrollers, and then demonstrated how to design a simple program for blinking LED on TinkerCAD. We also had a discussion on the use of microcontrollers in our daily lives along with the relevance of Arduino in our education research
In-Class Activity: We were asked to design and program two questions given to us. To light the LEDs in a traffic light manner with different blinking duration for the three lights.
Activity observations:
As we were going about the activity, all I could think of was the first time I used Arduino during my training session at IITD 5-6 years ago. Although I had spent a good number of hours doing different activities during that time, I never worked on Arduino again so had lost the touch apart from remembering the basics.
Aditya's experience came in real handy so we let him lead the activity with us filling and directing as when possible.
Block programming was quite easy. It was my first time doing it.
We couldn't get around the function of the while keyword function in block programming and struggled quite a bit.
TinkerCAD was a useful platform to work with Arduino rather than integrating a real Arduino set with a breadboard and computer system
Output as shown in Image 1.
