Access Information for Deep Winter Storytelling: Community Ritual + Ceremony
Hosted by: Gracielx + Marissa at Chispas Farm (229 Saavedra rd sw)
About: You and your family (kids welcome!) are invited to a very special ceremony + community ritual at Chispas Farm, January 25th, from 1-4:30pm-ish. In honor of the winter season and the returning of the sun, Gracielx and Marissa and other community members are welcoming you to witness their stories of this time, this land, and community care.
We want to gather our peoples, human, other than and more than, and see what emerges. Our intention is to offer space to witness something sacred in each of our stories and the magic of gathering all these wonderful people together.
Marissa and friends will share some stories, poetry, and invite folks to participate in a ritual burial. We will dance, make some noise, and cross a threshold, then hear from Gracielx their stories of compassionate care and rebirth, and do a collective candle ritual. We will end by gathering soil and seeds as symbols for our collective and individual rebirths.
This offering hopes to provide a space to let go, and welcome in; a space to let go of something that may get in the way of giving and receiving, to honor the caregivers, healers, medicine peoples, clowns, sex workers, culture shifters, farmers, activist, birth works, death workers, craftspeople, musicians, witches, herbalists, etc. and offer shared vision for futures rooted in networks of compassionate community care.
Sliding Scale Donation, $0-$55.
