I'm an Assistant Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. I received a PhD from Harvard University in 2018, specializing in development economics. I also hold an M.Sc. in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in Economics from McGill University.
My research interests include identifying scalable approaches to expanding public services in remote communities of low- and middle-income countries, particularly those that support human capital accumulation.
I am a J-PAL research affiliate. I currently serve as the chair of the Technical Panel for Digital Advisory Services for AIM for Scale. In Fall 2025, I will be a Visiting Scholar at UNU-WIDER.
