Raindance Ranch Painted Desert Sheep
Raindance Ranch is a small hobby farm located in the foothills of the California Sierra Nevada mountains. We breed registered Painted Desert Sheep for flashy color, solid conformation and gold star horn genetics. A fun hobby and a colorful way to control grass and weeds. :)
Our breeding program pays extra attention to preserving the rare "gopher ear" and the adorable "elf ear" traits. We keep a waiting list for anyone desiring to bring these into their flock. "Starter herds" are often available and we are happy to help you with your flock goals.
Our mission is to raise the healthiest animals possible. We frequently test the flock for Johnes, OPP and CL as well as keeping everyone up to date on hoof trimming and CDT vaccines. We feel these are all important investments in overall herd health.
