HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE OVER TIME (click!)

Our group holds working bees on the second Saturday of the month.

ALL ARE WELCOME.

Times are usually 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. This can be tweaked according to the weather. Date reminders are on the calendar.

Planting, weeding and mulching are our most common bushcare tasks so anyone can participate without special knowledge although planting needs to include a few extra steps to give the plants a good start and avoid Brush Turkey damage.

Special projects are fun to plan and sometimes actually happen...

Please email rainbow.bushcare@gmail.com if you wish to come for a session or more. If this does not work for you, you are welcome to just turn up on one of the dates advertised. Access is at the corner of Clandon and Dobel Streets, Indooroopilly.

All you need is water, protective clothing such as gloves, sun hat, closed-in shoes, long sleeves and trousers. Insect repellent and sunscreen are recommended. You may prefer your own gardening gloves although we have a limited supply. We supply tools but if you have a favourite tool, that is good too. No power tools are used by volunteers on BCC bushcare sites.

We often enjoy a cuppa after bushcare (generally around 9:00 a.m.). Please BYO hot or cold drink and a seat, if you wish. Although we keep an ear out for birds while toiling away, "cuppa" is a magic time to see and hear birds. Perfect setting!
