About The Show

Rainbow Rave Live is a multi scale model horse show benefiting The Trevor Project, celebrating the wonderful diversity of the model horse hobby!

Where It All Began

The idea for Rainbow Rave Live first began when Breyer posted their first "Happy Pride Month!" post back in 2021.

There was an unfortunate amount of backlash from members of the hobby, which hurt to see as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. 

I had come out of the closet several years before, at a time when I thought I was leaving the hobby, and was honestly rather nervous to re-enter the hobby after that as an out lesbian. As with the real horse showing world, there are some unfortunate prejudices that tend to persist. 

BUT!

I slowly discovered that there was in fact a pretty large LGBTQ+ presence in the hobby!

As we all found each other and bonded, it was such a relief and a ton of fun.

So when I saw all the backlash that Breyer faced, I thought it was time to finally host my own show (something I had been wanting to do for over five years), and provide an especially inclusive environment for those of us who had often been marginalized.

You do not have to be gay to enter, of course! As long as you're a fan of rainbows, diversity, and inclusion, we're all going to have a fabulous time!

I wanted a show day full of rainbows and joy that would reflect the incredible, diverse beauty of model horse hobbyists everywhere - and thus Rainbow Rave Live was born!
