Organization Projects

In 2021 and 2022, with the help of generous donations from the VFW and American Legion, the Central Softball Club constructed batting cages at the Softball Complex.

Huge thanks to Booster Member Todd Pexa for the donation and all the other Booster Member for the donation of materials and time we now have a our very own NEW concessions stand down at the Sports Complex.

We had been using a concession stand owned by the City of NYA that they allowed for us to use doing our school and summer seasons, which we are very thankful for through out the years.

It will be nice to now have a permanent building that can store all of our concession needs and be able to volunteer to work and still watch games being played on either field.

The American Legion and VFW of Norwood-Young America decided to purchase, order and donate two digital scoreboards for the Norwood Sports Complex Fields and the CHS Raiders Softball team. Extreme Electric donated their services and labor for all the electrical work along with the City of NYA.

The CHS Raiders Softball Boosters Club did fundraising to build permanent dugouts at the Norwood Sports Complex. With the monetary and labor donations and support of numerous businesses, organizations City of NYA, parents & players, "Phase One" (North Field) of the Dugout Project was completed the end of April 2015.

Fundraising for "Phase Two" (South Field) began the Fall of 2015. Construction of "Phase Two" was completed by Spring of 2016.
