Raíces is a Latino youth career success initiative that provides mentorship and career development programs designed to support Latino high school and post-secondary students as they transition into post-secondary education and the workforce. Through a hybrid model, participants will engage with Latino professionals, learn about post-secondary and career pathways, and build meaningful connections. The program will address barriers to education and employment by providing mentorship, career readiness workshops, and access to professional networks. By fostering representation and support, this project aims to increase Latino participation in post-secondary and leadership roles, contributing to a more diverse and inclusive Canadian workforce.
Youth: 16-29 years of age
The program is made up of three parts:
Workshops (virtual) - Covering topics such as navigating school and career exploration
Mentor Pod Series (virtual)
Latino Youth Career Summit (culminating in-person event)
*See the News & Events page for details on all sessions.
