In my junior year, I served as the Autonomous Navigation Lead for Team Interplanetar, Bangladesh’s top student Mars rover team, at the University Rover Challenge (URC) 2023 in Utah. Our travel expenses were sponsored by Grameenphone, the largest telecommunications service provider in Bangladesh. With semester finals ongoing, I developed a small prototype to quickly test algorithms before deploying them on the main rover. I used the Intel Realsense D435i’s stereo camera to conduct Visual SLAM. However, I utilized an MPU-9250 as an external IMU because the Realsense D435i's built-in IMU was not providing accurate data. Incorporating the NEO 6M GPS module, I achieved autonomous navigation using Extended Kalman Filters, RTAB-Map, Dijkstra’s Algorithm, and TrajectoryPlannerROS.
My First Conference

Two of my conference papers, one on autonomous UAV trajectory tracking and the other on Hector SLAM for mobile robots, have been published in IEEE RAAICON 2024.
Research Grant
RISE Student Research Grant
I received the RISE Student Research Grant, awarded exclusively to undergraduate students at my university with exceptional research proposals. With this funding, I developed a UAV test bench to measure and transmit orientation data via the MQTT protocol and built a programmable quadcopter from scratch. These tools are now actively used by undergraduates in my department pursuing robotics research.

Hult Prize is a global business idea competition based on social enterprises. My team became the runner up of the BUET round with our automated urban farming solution to reduce air pollution in cities.
