Thesis Title: Modal analysis of composite structure for different fiber orientations
Modal analysis of composite panel for different fiber orientation (at 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 90°) was studied using ABAQUS software and through experimentation. Different boundary conditions such as clamped-free, free-free, simply supported and clamped-clamped can be introduced in a composite panel. It was observed that mode shapes are dependent on the fiber orientation based on viewing and further comparing the different mode shapes of the composite panel. The optimal location of the sensor can be selected by viewing these mode shapes.
