Please take time to mark your copies as per below including standing direction
Please note that this is in Concert Order.
Let All the World:
Stand on first downbeat
Ensure at letter K that each crotchet is clean – no hanging on into the second of fourth beats.
King of Kings:
First verse – solo sung by Marianne Awaraji in Arabic (no choir-as already planned)
Choir stand on bar 13 ready to sing ‘oo’ at bar 15 (see following note)
Chorus on page 4 – solo continues in Arabic, but with choir singing melody to ‘oo’ vowel sound; warm texture.
All join at bar24 (previously crossed out!)
Remove beats 4 of bar 53 and beat 1 of 54, so there is no gap – ie, as most congregations would sing this song.
Jazabtani
Stand on downbeat of introduction (bar 26) – verse 1 is a solo; choir enters at verse 2.
Their Sound is Gone Out
Michael will direct to stand before first downbeat.
How Great Thou Art
Michael will invite the audience and choir to stand before we sing.
‘Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to thee’ – dotted rhythm for ‘Saviour God to’, (ie a dotted quaver followed by a semiquaver) NOT ‘straight’ as we were initially directed
Keep a close eye on Michael for clear cutoffs at the end of phrases, especially on ‘How great Thou art’ for clear placement of the ‘T’ at the end of the phrase.
For the Cause
Michael will invite the audience and choir to stand before we sing.
Our God is For Us
Michael will invite the audience and choir to stand before we sing.
‘Neither’ – sing ‘nigh’ rather than ‘nee’
Total Praise
Choir will be invited to stand before piece begins, as it starts with gentle piano. Please stand quietly.
Please observe the rests in this piece as they are integral to the style of the piece.
Muyiwa Medley
Stand at the beginning of the piece (trumpet solo).
God So Loves You
Arabic is sung by the soloist (not the choir-No choir till G)
Stand at letter F in readiness for vocal entry on the upbeat to letter G.
Song of the Lamb / Dance of Our God
Choir joins to sing at letter E – choir to stand four bars before entry (bar 86)
The Blessing
Stand on first downbeat.
Soloists sing first verse (and repeat-so wait for it twice!!)
Choir enters on ‘Amen’ at rehearsal mark 2.
Christus Victor
Choir to remain standing (if able) after the blessing until after the ‘thank you’s from Michael, in readiness for ‘Christus Victor’.
