“Remember, you are a Fulbrighter for life!”
(J. William Fulbright)
In Academic Year 2014-2015, I had the immense privilege to hold a Fulbright Research Scholarship. The funded project "Discontinuous dynamical systems: an accurate and efficient framework for their numerical solution", gave me the opportunity to visit the School of Mathematics of Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, USA).
The scientific investigation has regarded the approximation of periodic orbits generated in presence of codimension-1 and 2 discontinuity surfaces, within sliding regimes along the discontinuities or their crossing.
The project has been developed in collaboration with prof. Luca Dieci and dr. Fabio Vito Difonzo.
