MISSION
To generate, sustain and, when directed, command forces for current operations and develop forces for future Air Mobility, Force Protection and Battlespace Management.

AIR MOBILITY
In addition to being a core air power role in itself, Air Mobility provides activity that underpins all other air power roles. AIr Mobility lies at the heart of the RAF's ability to achieve rapid air power effect to infulence the behavious of actors and the course of events.
FORCE PROTECTION
Force Protection, delivered by the RAF Regiment and the RAF Police, is about protecting the RAF at home and away against threats that may impact on our freedom of action and operational effectiveness. While the RAF Regiment and RAF Police act on their own as "sub-groups", they are under the genre of Air Combat Support.
BATTLESPACE MANAGEMENT FORCE
The Battlespace Management Force mission is: "to understand, control and exploit the battlespace, delivering tactical Air Command and Control of UK Air Policing and Air Counter Terrorism operations while supporting the delivery of Combat Air Power for standing and contingent operations worldwide."

WHO MAKES THIS GROUP
10 Squadron
10 Squadron provide air-to-air refuelling to aircraft, using the KC-135 Supertanker.
18 Squadron
18 Squadron provides rotary (helicopter) aircraft for transport within the RAF.
32 Squadron
32 Squadron (Royal Squadron) provides VIP transport services when required.
47 Squadron
47 Squadron provides air transport within the RAF, using aircraft such as the C-130 and C-17 Globemaster.
