Rachel Sullivan
My name is Rachel Sullivan. I am an upcoming Junior at Junaita College majoring in Pre-veterinary medicine and minoring in Bioethics. I am a member of the Juniata women's varsity volleyball team, Juniata Christian fellowship, an officer of Delight women's Bible study, and Pre-Veterinary club.
I have been working towards becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine for as long as I can remember, my passion for helping animals evident from the start of my life. Since entering high school I have worked in clinical medicine for four years under Doctor Megan Alley at Donaldson Animal Hospital and completed an internship at the Pittsburgh Zoo.
In college, I worked for Doctor John Brockett at Spruce Street Animal Clinic on large animal emergency farm calls. I am adding a long standing research project to my resume with the Northern Map Turtles under Dr. Roy Nagle and Dr. Lamendella. I also held an internship at Multigen Reproductive Solutions with Doctor Stan Carnes where I learned about artificial insemination of cattle in the summer of 2022. In the summer of 2023, I will be working as a veterinarian's assitant at Pittsburgh East Animal Hospital.
