I developed the problem statement below from data collected during user research. This included 15 interviews with individuals in Sephora and the CVS makeup isle as well as market research and discussion boards. I decided to focus on sustainability as rising consumer trends suggest that Millennials and GenZ are increasingly concerned with the environmental and biological safety of their products. I build a series of artifacts from this user research including personas and storyboards. This helped me identify what kind of users I was going to focus on and also helped me define the pain points users were experiencing. These storyboards helped me land on a prototype.
After ideating and a series of prototypes I built a clickable wireframe on Figma. Then I build a user test plan and conducted 10 user interviews. This helped me iterate the wireframe, adding features, clarifying user flow, and adjusting language for greater apprehension, ease, and simplicity.
