I am currently a postdoctoral research associate in the TOPIC Research Group and Centre for Emerging Minds at the University of Oxford. I work under the supervision of Dr. Jiedi Lei on the neurodiversity and character strengths project. I joined this project in October 2025 to work on the co-production and implementation of tools to understand character strengths in neurodivergent young people. I am also registered as a clinical psychologist by the HCPC.
From November 2024 to October 2025, I was a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bath working under the supervision of Dr. Kate Cooper on the Autism Transition to Adulthood Group (ATAG) project. My work there focused on applied clinical research to improve mental health and positive identity amongst autistic young people through group interventions.
Before this, I worked as a postdoctoral scholar under the supervision of Dr. Lawrence Fung at the Stanford Neurodiversity Project, located in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. I was there from June 2023 to November 2024, working on projects related to improving employment outcomes among adults on the autism spectrum and with intellectual and developmental disabilities more broadly.
Before that, I was a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. I taught several undergraduate courses and led an undergraduate research lab. I'm still working with many of those same undergrads today. I'm also a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland.
I'm originally from Louisville, Kentucky and have lived throughout the US during the course of my education before moving to the UK in November 2024. I was drawn to psychology because I wanted to better understand other people and myself and because I wanted to create a world where people better understood each other.
