Vote April 5th
Leadership, Accountability, and Collaboration
I am running for school board to focus on creating an environment where learners and educators thrive.
I'm a local farmer and sustainable ag advocate with a deep commitment to community building, and a long history of service and leadership. I’m running for school board to return the board’s focus to their true work of making this a district that cares for all students, honors the experience and expertise of educators, and creates a great environment for exploration and learning.
I have two children who go to Downsville Elementary, and we love the school, teachers, staff, and families there.
I have served as the vice president and president of Dunn County Wisconsin Farmers Union, receiving a Builder’s Award and a Membership award for growing community and engaging local farmers, and serving as a delegate to our state and national conventions.
I’ve mentored beginning and aspiring farmers, and opened my farm for field days and farm tours for ag professionals, conservationists, and other groups.
I am used to working collaboratively with people I don’t always agree with, finding ways to connect over the values we share.
As a non-profit board member, I've served through difficult transitions and faced tough decisions head on.
I've been a poll worker and volunteer at community and school events -- I know that showing up is important to building the world we want!
I've written policy resolutions and helped push for Dunn County's priorities at Wisconsin Farmers Union
As a mother, I'm as nervous as anyone when talking to my kids about race, gender, intolerance, and violence . But I do it! And every time I do, it gets easier.
I want to bring these experiences to SDMA, and be the kind of board leader that our district deserves!
