I firmly believe that the mentorship I have received from others is directly related to the success I have expereinced in my career. I am passionate about "paying it forward" and providing mentorship to others where I can. Below are some of the initiatives I've been a member of.

I am a Co-Lead on a new (in our second year!) program called NASA-PEER. Our goal is to provide post-baccalaureate (post-bac) researchers studying astrophysics or planetary science at NASA with professional, scientific, and social support as they navigate their career paths. We match post-bacs in "constellations" of 2-3 post-bacs with 2-3 post-PhD but still early career mentors.
I am an officer in the NASA Goddard Association of Postdoctoral and Early Career Scientists (NGAPS+). This group is a volunteer-based, community driven organization that connects early career scientists at Goddard with each other and with resources that will help them thrive both at work and living in the area. I serve on the committees for communication, advocacy, and mentorship.
I was a leader of GEODES (Geoscientists Encouraging Openness and Diversity in the Earth Sciences), a graduate student group in UCSC's Earth and Planetary Sciences Department. I helped plan and host events related to increasing and retaining diverse student populations and professional development.
