Hi, I’m Rachel Doornink, a lifelong lover and learner of music! Teaching piano is more than just a job for me—it’s a passion rooted in creativity, connection, and fun.
I hold a degree in piano performance from Trinity Western University and continually pursue opportunities for further development both musically and professionally. My teaching style is designed to make music lessons engaging and inspiring, without compromising high expectations and growth. I incorporate games, fun activities, and music that excite my students, keeping their learning journey joyful and rewarding.
Every student is unique, so I personalize each lesson to match their learning style and goals. I’m dedicated to building my students' confidence as musicians and nurturing their creativity. By creating a supportive and encouraging space, I help students take risks, express themselves, and grow both technically and artistically.
I’m also passionate about building a supportive, community-oriented environment in my studio. Performance opportunities are a cornerstone of my teaching, helping students showcase their progress and further develop their confidence.
I’m actively involved in the Kitsap Music Teachers Association, where my students have the opportunity to participate in the many events and activities the association offers.
If you or your child is ready to discover the joy of learning piano, I’d love to hear from you. Get in touch with me today!
