EchoAid

We noticed that our friends with visual disabilities face difficulties distinguishing smilar objects. For instance, 2 medication bottles that can only be differentiated via their labels. 

Hence, we created EchoAid, an app that utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to enable users to identify objects and manage tasks through voice-activated tags, enhancing their ability to navigate their surroundings independently.

Breast Cancer Biomarker Research

I used various clustering algorithms to categorize patients based on their molecular expression profiles. My primary objective was to explore the prognostic capabilities of these biomarkers. To achieve this, I employed several techniques, including k-means clustering, spectral clustering, and One-Class Support Vector Machine (OneSVM). 

Additionally, I conducted survival analysis to determine how these molecular biomarkers influence patient survival outcomes. This work allowed me to understand the potential of molecular biomarkers in predicting cancer prognosis.

Gene Mutations in Evolutionary Genomic Data

I developed machine learning models to identify gene mutations in evolutionary genomic data. You can find some of my research process here! I wrote 1 article a day during my research internship as a way to keep myself accountable for my progress.

AI-Powered Audio Analysis Pipeline

I developed a pipeline for sentiment analysis using vlog material I collected across 5 countries in 3 years! This project involves audio feature extraction and clustering, as well as neural-network analysis of audio waveforms. I learned to apply both supervised and unsupervised methods on the data.

Heart Attack Analysis and Prediction

I used Python (Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib) to conduct regression and correlation analysis on the heart attack risk factors in the Cleveland population
