The Four Elements

This rabbits displays the fundamental "Four Elements"  with a primary focus on fire (to highlight the Fremont HS Firebirds), and water (this is the year of the rabbit with the water element). The mosaic is made of handmade ceramic tiles. The head is fire red and the belly is deep water blue. Wood grain brown will be used for the feet. The special high gloss clear coat adds a feeling of air and wind as the sun glints off different aspects of the mosaic during the course of the day.

Artist: Students at Fremont High School; Kathy Yates

The ceramics students at Fremont HS, under the direction of Timna Naim, designed this sculpture, made the tiles and created the mosaic. Finishing touches were completed by Rotarian Kathy Yates

Sponsored by Cupertino Rotary Club

We are a service club serving Cupertino and nearby areas.  We think we are the best Rotary Club on the west coast and have some data that might prove it in terms of service, donations, and time spent in the community.  We meet every Wednesday at the Quinlan Community Center on Stelling Avenue at 12 noon.

You are welcome to drop in on our meetings.  The meetings include an hour of club business during lunch and then a half hour presentation by an invited speaker.  Come find out what we are about!
