Ohlone Alebrije integrates two cultures: the Muwekma Ohlone tribe that has lived in the Bay Area for 10,000 years, and the colorful, quirky design of the Mexican folkart tradition, Alebrije, that mixes animal shapes, symbols, vibrant colors, and textures. The Rabbit, Ohlone Alebrije, is a fantastical mix of these two cultures. Children understand that this magical creature is real!
