The “Flower Child” theme emerged from the collaboration of the sponsor and the artist (a rabbit zodiac herself) and the artist's love of incorporating flowers into her artwork. The rabbit aims to bring cheerfulness and hope to its environment and invites you to feel the surprising softness of the tiles.
Artist: Barbara Bussler
Barbara Bussler is a Bay Area mosaic artist. Since completing her first piece in 2001, she has studied this ancient art form from mosaic masters in Italy and the US and is a member of the American and German Mosaic Societies. Her studio “Black Bear Mosaics” is in the beautiful Sierra Nevada where she creates mosaics in all sizes, often using recycled materials as well as specifically chosen new materials. “Cracking tiles with smiles” is her happy motto.

We became parents for the first time in a Year of the Rabbit.
