A Community Art Project to Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit

With the coming Lunar New Year in January, 2023, the Rotary Club of Cupertino is introducing "Cupertino Rabbits", a community-wide public art exhibition and fundraiser to showcase our public spaces, celebrate the spirit of the rabbit year (grace, elegance, renewal), enhance community spirit and sense of place, and fund worthy charitable projects.

"Cupertino Rabbits" encompasses fiberglass rabbit forms in three postures (Standing,Sitting, or Crouching) and various sizes (5-foot, 3-foot, and 20 inches), sponsored by local organizations/businesses and decorated by local artists with unique design themes that are meaningful to our community.

The decorated "Cupertino Rabbits" will be displayed for outdoor viewing in prominent locations to be enjoyed by pedestrians, passing drivers, and office workers. In the fall of 2023, the "Cupertino Rabbits" decorated statues will be sold at auction as playful and beautiful art pieces for private enjoyment.

This "Cupertino Rabbits" fundraiser has already raised $11,000 to help build residences in Kharkiv,Ukraine, replacing homes destroyed in the war.
