Kausik Lakkaraju is a doctoral candidate at the AI Institute of the University of South Carolina, where he specializes in testing AI systems through causal analysis. In 2023, he was awarded an NSF student grant to attend the IEEE TPS conference. That same year, his work on 'Rating of AI Systems through a Causal Lens', his Ph.D. dissertation topic, earned him the ‘Best Graduate Student Poster Presentation Award’ at a university-wide event at the University of South Carolina. In 2022, Kausik presented a student paper on the same subject at the prestigious AIES conference, held at the University of Oxford, UK.

Dr. Rachneet Kaur is a Research Scientist at J.P. Morgan AI Research, where she works on multimodal learning-focused projects, including vision, language, and time series modalities. Her current research interests lie in the adaptation of multimodal AI agents with demonstrations and multimodal foundational models for time series analysis. She completed her PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and bachelor's degree (with honors) from the University of Delhi and her master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in Mathematics, in India. She co-organized the AAAI 2024 Workshop on AI in Finance for Social Impact and the ICAIF 2023 Workshop on Women in AI and Finance. She has served as a reviewer and program committee member for several top AI workshops and conferences, including NeurIPS and AAAI.

Her research interests include the integration of acting, planning, and machine learning, focusing on finance, cybersecurity, and robotics domains. She completed her PhD in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park, and holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. She has received the Best Student Paper Honorable Mention Award at ICAPS 2020. She organized the Integrated Acting, Planning, and Execution workshop at ICAPS during 2020-23. She has served on the Program Committee of ten top AI venues, including ICAPS, ECAI, and NeurIPS.

With over two decades of AI research experience, Biplav is an ACM Distinguished Scientist, AAAI Senior Member, IEEE Senior Member, and AAAS Leshner Fellow for Public Engagement on AI (2020-2021). Biplav has co-organized workshop tracks at IJCAI 2016, AAAI 2020, and AAAI 2021. He has conducted 8 tutorials at leading conferences and 50+ successful workshops in core AI areas and applications, including Elections, Cognitive Computing, AI for Sustainability (Transportation, Water), and Dialog Systems.
