Find out what we have in store for you this summer!
10 weeks: Monday, June 2 – Monday, August 11
Our Summer Reading Program is administered through the platform Beanstack!
To get started, go to qvlibrary.beanstack.com or download the Beanstack app. Caregivers can sign in with an existing account or create new accounts for their children. Then join the "Summer Reading Program" challenge for kids (ages 0 to 12)! After that, you or your child will log each book you read or the time spent reading throughout the summer. For each book completed or 60 minutes logged, you will earn a raffle ticket! You can enter these raffle tickets into drawings to win cool prizes (like a Bluey coloring kit, mega bubble-blower, Squishmallows, meal vouchers for local restaurants generously donated from the businesses themselves, and more!) directly through the Beanstack app.
You can also earn raffle tickets by completing activities throughout the summer! Attend library programs, try out a scavenger hunt, solve a puzzle, read a book in a genre you don't normally read, take a walk in a local park, and more to win additional tickets!
You will also earn digital badges for each reading milestone and activity you complete and log in Beanstack. Build your collection and admire your progress!
We look forward to levelling up at the library with you this summer!
Families who need assistance with setting up or navigating their Beanstack are welcome to stop by the youth services desk, email us at youthservices@qvlibrary.org, or give us a call at (888) 811-0080.
We strongly encourage the use of Beanstack, but physical paper reading logs are also available at the youth services desk upon request.
