Welcome to my academic webpage!

My name is Quoc Thai Le (pronounced as /ˌkwʊk␣ˈtaɪ␣liː/).

I am currently a Lecturer in Economics at the School of Economics, Finance and Accounting, International University, VNU-HCM (Vietnam).

My field of research is Applied Economics, particularly Empirical Microeconomics. My topics of interest span Firms' Performance/Productivity, Firms in International Trade, Development Economics, Industrial Dynamics and Labour Economics. My research works so far focus mainly on a broad range of crucial determinants (at various levels) of firms' performance (in particular, productivity), especially the role of international trade policies and business environment reforms. Recently, I am also interested in drivers of economic development and labour market adjustments to policy changes.

I have earned a Ph.D. in Economics and Management in May 2023 from the University of Trento (Italy). Prior to the Ph.D. program, I have completed a Master of Science in Economics from both the University of Trento (Italy) and Friedrich Schiller University of Jena (Germany) in Oct 2019. I have also obtained a Bachelor in Economics from Foreign Trade University (Vietnam) in Feb 2016.

Since 2026, I have been collaborating with The Society of Young Vietnamese Economists on various academic/research activities.
