Welcome to my academic webpage!

My name is Quoc Thai Le (pronounced as /ˌkwʊk␣ˈtaɪ␣liː/).

I am currently a Lecturer in Economics at the School of Economics, Finance and Accounting, International University, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).

My field of research is Applied Economics, particularly Empirical Microeconomics. My topics of interest span Firms' Performance/Productivity, Firms in International Trade, Development Economics, Labour Economics and Industrial Dynamics. My recent research works mainly focus on a broad range of crucial determinants (at various levels) of firms' performance (in particular, productivity), especially the role of international trade policies and business environment reforms. I am also interested in labour market adjustments to policy changes.

I have earned a Ph.D. in Economics and Management in May 2023 from the University of Trento (Italy) under the supervision of Chiara Tomasi. Prior to the Ph.D. program, I have completed a Master of Science in Economics from both the University of Trento (Italy) and Friedrich Schiller University of Jena (Germany) in Oct 2019. I have also obtained a Bachelor in Economics from Foreign Trade University (Vietnam) in Feb 2016.
