At QuickCalc Pro, we are committed to providing a powerful productivity tool without compromising your privacy. This policy outlines how we handle data within the QuickCalc Pro browser extension.
QuickCalc Pro does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information, browsing history, or calculation data to external servers.
We do not have user accounts.
We do not use tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
We do not monitor your keystrokes outside of the dedicated calculator interface.
All extension functionality happens directly on your device:
Calculation History: Your last 20 calculations are stored locally on your computer using the chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your machine.
Website Interaction: When you activate the calculator (Alt+X), the extension injects a private UI (Shadow DOM) into your current tab. This UI does not read or extract content from the websites you visit.
We only request the permissions necessary for the extension to function:
activeTab & scripting: Used only to display the floating calculator interface on your current page when requested.
storage: Used to save your calculation history and unit preferences locally.
host_permissions: Required to ensure the calculator can be toggled on any webpage for your convenience.
Because no data is transmitted to our servers, there is no risk of your calculation data being intercepted or leaked from a central database. Your data is as secure as your local browser environment.
QuickCalc Pro complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the "Limited Use" requirements. We do not sell, trade, or rent user data to third parties.
