Quick Mask Pro 2024 (free) Update is out on Adobe store
This free webinar which is to be held on December 11, 2022 via Zoom, might be interesting for many Artisan users too. Everyone is invited but there's a maximum of 99 attendees. Read more below.
Annual Free Quick Mask Pro webinar via Zoom.
This summer we have released the UXP version of the Quick Mask Pro panel and I’m happy to announce the annual and free webinar on Quick Mask Pro for UXP on Sunday, December 11th via Zoom. World cup football fans: don’t worry, it’s a rest day.
What will be demonstrated in the webinar
I will give a quick overview of the most important features and demonstrate a suggested workflow with the new Quick Mask Pro UXP panel with a few examples. At the same time I will also briefly use the B&W Artisan Pro panel to demonstrate how the created masks can be used practically with the QMP-generated masks. The latter however can also be done with PS only, but Artisan Pro will be used during the webinar only to speed up and simplify the process. I will demonstrate how making the right masking decisions, can save you time when post-processing images.
What will not be demonstrated in the webinar
I will not give detailed demos of all the functionalities and presets in the panel to save time. For that purpose, there are various manuals on the knowledge hub available and also YouTube videos. The focus is on the main functionalities and workflow.
Also to save time, I will not go into the basic and more advanced principles of masking in general, for that, I have created a 5-hr video tutorial (now with a Black Friday 40% off discount).
Who can attend the webinar
The free webinar can be attended by everyone, obviously users of the new UXP version of Quick Mask Pro, but also users of the older versions and others who are not using Quick Mask Pro. But obviously, it makes more sense if you already are a user of the UXP version of Quick Mask Pro.
If you’re interested in our QMP or Artisan Pro panel: we have the Black Friday- Cyber Monday discounts with 40% OFF that expires on November 28, 2022, that you can find in our store
You can sign up by filling out the form at the link below. There’s a maximum of 99 attendees. The first 20 will automatically be selected, the remaining 79 will be randomly picked.

Release of Quick Mask Pro 2022 (UXP)
Today, Tuesday, July 19, 2022, we released the UXP version of Quick Mask Pro 2022 (UXP) that will work on any Mac computer, M1/ M2 and Intel, and of course on any Windows computer without the need of starting Photoshop in Rosetta emulation mode. Furthermore, we have integrated Adobe's AI technology in our Quick Mask Pro plugin in the background to drastically improve the accuracy and subtlety of masks.
The new Quick Mask Pro 2022 panel can only be purchased from the Adobe Marketplace store, using your regular Adobe user account (email address).
This version of the panel is the first major upgrade of the panel since its initial release in 2017 and is in our view a considerable improvement using the latest insights and technology.
This release of Quick Mask Pro 2022 For UXP contains the following:
Use Adobe’s AI technology behind the scenes for drastically improved hard masks
Click-and-create subject/object masks: identify the object to select, click and then modify if needed
In total 50 different hard mask variations for object masks in 1 photo
Click-and-create accurate sky masks: Click and go for 5 different sky mask variations. Modify with a few clicks to optimize if needed.
Wide range or tight range mask options: use wide range to include more translucent details like feathers or fur. Use tight range for normal ‘hard’ outlines
No Blend and Partial Blend options: use no blend if all edges need to be hard, or partial (auto) blend if only objects intersecting with the sky need hard edges, but soft edges when intersecting with adjacent objects for smooth blending when editing
Simple to Advanced Refine masks options: from simple 1-click refinement presets to advanced refinement presets for challenging optimizations.
Luminosity masks presets to automatically create (and delete) in total 65 different luminosity masks for a photo are of course included.
