FROM THE DIRECTOR

“You have to act as if it were possible to radically transform the world. And you have to do it all the time.” - Angela Y. Davis

When our freedoms are under attack; It is easy to feel as though hope is lost. As we are assaulted in our communities, as our tax dollars are being used to commit mass violence, as our leaders scoff at our disgust- we are constantly encouraged to look the other way. To be accepting of the state of our culture, to give up. Our duty, however, is to be unapologetically loud. To be uncensored, disagreeable, bold. To have pride. To give a fuck.

This production was built with the attitude of protest. For our identities, our opinions, and our communities. We, as a collective, embarked on this process with one intention only; to express ourselves without shame. We hope you can laugh with us- not to forget what’s happening around us, but to remember that you are not alone. That we are stronger together, and you owe those around you everything.
