This Citywide engagement series bringing students, families, educators, staff, and community partners together for honest dialogue about where our schools are today and where we must go next.
Across ten stops in every corner of the city, Chancellor Samuels will engage directly with communities to reflect on what safety, academic rigor, and true integration look like in practice, and how we strengthen our system for the years ahead. These conversations are designed to elevate lived experiences, surface shared priorities, and inform the Chancellor’s early direction for NYC Public Schools. This will also be an opportunity for families to share ideas for improving family empowerment in NYCPS, to ensure that family and community voices are at the table. This will be a space for meaningful dialogue and collective reflection, so that we can shape the future together.
The guest speakers will be :
-Charlotte Henderson-Butler - Admissions Specialist CUNY Central
-Raymond Perez - University Director of Disability Programs, Student Inclusion Initiatives
This is a great opportunity for students and families to learn about the admissions process, programs and resources at CUNY. They will hear from CUNY’s Admissions Office and gain insight into CUNY’s disability programs.
