The Queen’s Karate Club (QKC) is a recreational martial arts club that practices and instructs Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate through Queen's University's Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC). We welcome any ARC member regardless of previous experience - whether in Goju Ryu, another style, or none at all!
The QKC strives to foster a deeper understanding of martial arts technique and philosophy, teach practical self-defence skills and provide opportunities for our members to build leadership skills. Our club offers a safe and respectful environment where everyone can progress at their own pace. Classes are for anyone who is looking for a great place to exercise, work on their skills, or learn new ones. The QKC is open to anyone who wishes to participate without prejudice to nationality, race, religion, gender, or disability.
