The COVID-19 has been a serious issue and has frozen the whole world. Due to its highly contagious nature, we have to maintain social distance with as many people as possible. Staying at home and managing a safe and hygienic living is the key solution to control and get rid of Coronavirus.
"Ah its really boring. What to do staying at home for months, we can't travel, meet and hang out!" This is what most of us might be thinking. Most of us are indeed habituated to traveling outside, visiting schools, offices, meeting relatives and friends. However, such a lockdown situation has struck us and we don't know what to do! But wait. Why can't you take this as an opportunity? We are blessed because we can sit back home and have our own sweet time while doctors, government and medical caretakers have to work under pressure to help fight coronavirus.
We can utilize this time to explore ourselves and do what we want to. Hobbies don't get time to play with us because we follow a very busy routine full of school studies and company work. We generally find no time to be 'ourselves' by enjoying our hobbies, creating and making something new, watching our favorite shows and channels, or learning something new that feeds our curiosity! But now is the time to enjoy what we like. No matter what you do, but do something that satisfies you and keeps you happy. Be as productive as you can even if you are at home. For example, make a blog like I have!
For me, learning is the most essential fuel that keeps me moving. When learning stops; nothing can move you forward. Learning has no restrictions and is inevitable. So, learn and explore what you like. Learn a new delicious, lip-smacking recipe or compose a new melodious, heart caressing music. Learn a wonderful, mind-blowing mathematical theory or create a marvelous program like the JARVIS. Learn whatever you like, but don't stop. We are blessed that the coronavirus hasn't infected the internet. Kidding! The internet is such a wonderful resource packet that contains unlimited articles, blogs, videos, songs, journals and news to entertain you as well as to teach you.
Even if you watch a series or movie on Netflix, make a note of what you learned from it. As I said, learning takes no particular form and is freely available everywhere. You can explore various channels on youtube and learn from various beautifully-explained videos. I love kurzgesagt videos as they are interesting, compact and entertaining too. Watch the kurzgesagt video on Coronavirus if you haven't, it is very nicely shown and covers very important things about the virus.
Learning has another very significant advantage: motivation. Many times I get motivated to do something similar to what I have learned or apply what I have learned. Motivation has helped me make wonderful paintings, create new science-based projects and also coding. Recently, after watching a couple of youtube videos on Coronavirus, I decided to make and publish my own video on Coronavirus. Through various articles, I realized that it is very important for everyone to know two things about the virus: how it infects and spreads, and how to tackle it. So I made a video titled "Why is Coronavirus so different?" and you can watch it by clicking on the link below. In our school, we have a CAS period where we have to be productive and do something to help the community. The teachers and my school friends came up with a good initiative to compile a video on how to help stop Coronavirus. You can also take such an initiative if you are generous and interested enough to share something you like with us. Write a blog or make a video on your favorite hobby, for example.

But don't just start watching a documentary, a film or reading an article. Make a routine for yourself and include the activities you will be doing every day. Follow and maintain the routine as much as you can. This will help you a lot to organize yourself and the activities you will be doing. Making and maintaining a routine even on holidays has helped me a lot to carry on with my hobbies and activities. It will take hardly a few days for you to habituate and then you will realize that you automatically follow your schedule! Keep your routine balanced: activity time and leisure time and exercise. Don't forget to give some time for fitness.
Hope you enjoyed reading the blog. Learn something new and maintain a routine during this 'stay home' time. Thank you for reading.
