Workshop

Quantum Observers,

Quantum Reference Frames,

and Quantum Communications

at University of Burgos, Burgos (Spain)

Welcome to the "Quantum observers, quantum references frames, and quantum communications" workshop, organized by the Mathematical Physics group of the University of Burgos (Spain).

This marks the 3rd edition, following the previous "Quantum Observers I" in Rome, Italy (2018) and "Quantum Observers II" in Naples, Italy (2019) workshops.  In those events, we explored the multi-layered concept of observer in both Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity, as well as in their intersection.

These meetings brought together experts in Quantum Foundations, Quantum Information Theory, Quantum Gravity, and Philosophy of Physics, fostering open discussions on various aspects of the notion of observer. Our focus has always been on maintaining a conceptual and cross-disciplinary approach, enabling participants to explore different frameworks and approaches within this puzzling field.

The aim of the present edition is to continue our exploration of recent developments in this rapidly evolving field.  Hosted at the University of Burgos (Spain) from October 2 to 6, 2023, "Quantum Observers III" will provide a dynamic discussion forum, with a specific emphasis on applications and connections with Quantum Communication Protocols and Systems.

Our program features a thoughtfully curated schedule, with a limited number of talks each day. This structure allows ample time for spontaneous discussions, as well as more organized discussion sessions and panels, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience for all participants.
