Cheryl is a research scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR, Singapore. In the past two years, Cheryl has been exploring the use of artificial intelligence to help measure and improve virtual learning in both asynchronous and synchronous learning environments. Cheryl is currently leading a team to build an engagement detection tool in synchronous learning environment with multi-modal data.
Chin Tuan is currently a research scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR, Singapore. Prior to that, Chin Tuan is an associate professor at the University of Dallas, focusing on behavioral and brain science. He is currently working on the development of methods to measure human engagement in various activities.
Huayun is currently a research scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR, Singapore. Huayun is an expert in the field of speech and text and had developed a spoken language assessment tool in multiple languages. Concurrently, he is studying how the use of various teaching styles affects student engagement.
