Option 1
QA Academy’s Homeschool Partnership Program is designed to meet or exceed the instructional hour requirements established by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) for home instruction under regulation 8.
NYSED requires that students in grades 7–12 receive the equivalent of 990 instructional hours per school year, distributed across approximately 180 days. Student-athletes in the 11th and 12th grade can take advantage of this opportunity which provides flexibility within their academic pathways.
QA Academy provides a structured academic and athletic schedule that ensures all participating students meet this threshold through a combination of:
Supervised academic study, online coursework, and tutoring,
Skill development, physical education, and athletic training,
College readiness and leadership workshops.
This integrated approach provides both the academic rigor and time-on-task necessary to remain fully compliant with NYSED homeschool regulations, while supporting the holistic development of each student-athlete.
Option 2
High school student-athletes attending QA Academy are enrolled through our partner preparatory school, which provides the grade-level coursework and academic requirements necessary to remain on track for high school graduation and college admission.
Students participate in a structured hybrid learning model that combines virtual instruction with in-person academic support and accountability at QA Academy. Student-athletes are expected to attend their scheduled virtual classes, complete all required assignments, maintain satisfactory academic progress, and meet established attendance and participation expectations.
In addition to their core academic coursework, students participate in required QA Academy educational seminars focused on college readiness, financial literacy, personal branding, leadership, and life skills. This comprehensive model allows student-athletes to pursue their academic goals while benefiting from high-level basketball training, strength and conditioning, and personal development.

Small Class Sizes
Our small class sizes allow for personalized attention, meaningful relationships, and focused guidance for every student. Instruction goes beyond the classroom—emphasizing career building, leadership, and communication skills. Students learn to understand the business side of sports and education, gaining the tools to market their own abilities, share their vision effectively, and highlight a product or brand in their future pursuits.
Get Ahead Before College
At QA Academy, we believe student-athletes should develop both academically and athletically. Our Post-Graduate (PG) program provides students with the opportunity to prepare for nationally recognized college-level examinations that may allow them to earn college credit before enrolling at a college or university.
