You will be issued a timing chip attached to an ankle strap.
Please use the timing chip given to you at registration - any other timing chip will not work.
You need to attach the Ankle Strap with the timing chip to your LEFT ankle.
Timing points are located at the start, entry/exit to the transition zone, and finish.
We will collect the timing chip from you at the finish line.
You must return your chip to the finish, even if you withdraw. Otherwise, we will think you are still out there racing.
If you don’t return your timing chip, you will be liable for a fee of QAR 500 - so please remember to return it.
On race day, the transition zone will be open from 5:30 am for athletes to prepare their area until 6:30 am. It will close promptly.
Only racing competitors will be allowed through the transition area during the race.
The transition area is situated on the sandy beach, and there will be NO CARPET covering, so participants are advised to bring their own cover for the ground.
A plastic bin with corresponding race numbers will be provided where you can place your running shoes & swim gear.
Please be considerate of other competitors. Other items not used during the race should be moved away to keep the transition as clear as possible.

Only swim goggles or masks are permitted. No other swim aids of any kind are permitted.
Only official lifeguards on kayaks and rescue jet skis are allowed on the swim course. Swimmers may use the kayaks and jet skis for aid should they require assistance so long as there is no forward momentum, which would result in disqualification.
