Ms. WONG Lee Lee (Principal, Bishop Hall Jubilee School)
This amazing QSHK Singapore educational trip reclaimed our calling as educators: to engage the minds and hearts of each and every student in learning. As we stepped into various Singaporean schools, we were immediately mesmerized by the encouraging campus posters and slogans along with the space for students to think, create and collaborate … everything seen, no matter how small, was of great value in achieving a grand educational mission. The experience left us with big hearts through a better understanding of how this country nurtured a thriving learning culture for the next generation in Singapore.
Ms. WONG Ling Yan (Vice Principal, Shun Lee Catholic Secondary School)
Inspired by the insightful sharing of Singaporean educators and their passion in nurturing the young generation, and impressed by what Mr James Soh, the Executive Director of National Youth Achievement Award said, "Don't criticize. Work on areas where you can bring changes." The Hong Kong education context may not be perfect, but with our efforts and positivity, school leaders and teachers can definitely make a difference for students.
Mr. KWAN Chi Kuen (Vice-principal, Bishop Hall Jubilee School)
The QSHK Singapore Tour for School Leaders is a fascinating adventure to me. Through visiting different parties like MoE, secondary and tertiary institutions, together with the eye-opening Minimum Exhibition in the ArtScience Museum, the trip turned out to be a catalyst towards my professional and aesthetic development.
Special thanks to QSHK and Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School for making this trip possible.
Ms. SUNG Hoi Yan (Prefect of Studies, Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School)
We must bear in mind that students they all have different abilities. This means there must be diversity in our teaching.
Mr. CHAN Yik Yeung (Head of Moral and Civic Education Committee, Bishop Hall Jubilee School)
“Teacher is not a career, it is a calling”
I feel so strongly about this line learnt in the tour, and am much inspired and touched. I am grateful for this rewarding experience.
Ms. MUI Lai Yee (Biology Panel Head, Shun Lee Catholic Secondary School)
This was a really inspirational exchange tour.
Being a teacher is not merely a job, but a calling, to unlock the unique potential of each individual student.
Mr. SIN Ka Ho (STEM Coordinator, Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School)
This exchange programme not only allows me to understand the difference between the educational systems of Hong Kong and Singapore, but also allows me to view STEM education in a deeper way. As a STEM teacher in school, I reviewed a lot in my school-based curriculum (both education philosophy and design) during the trip. This certainly equips me to be better prepared for the challenges in the upcoming modification and implementation of the school-based STEM curriculum.
Mr. LUI Chun Sau (Shun Lee Catholic Secondary School)
The goal of STEM education is not limited to imparting scientific and technological knowledge, but aims at building students' character, self-esteem and values, as well as equipping them with the competencies to cope with future challenges.
Mr Kam AU (Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School)
"Whole person development is not only developing a person in school years but a whole life learning.
I am honored to liaise this meaningful Exchange Program successfully."
