Delegates should arrange their own travel and accommodation for the conference.
Delegates are requested to consider the impact of their travel on the environment and where possible choose low carbon options. Newcastle is well-served by train services across the country, with the main station located within the city centre and a short walk to accommodation options.
If you choose air travel, Newcastle International Airport (NCL) is a short 15-minute taxi or 25-minute Metro journey to the city centre. The metro runs every 10 minutes from the airport and tickets cost £3.40.
The North Shields International Ferry Terminal is the north of England’s main sea link with Northern Europe. Throughout the year, DFDS operates frequent sailings to and from Amsterdam (Ijmuiden) in the Netherlands. https://www.dfdsseaways.co.uk/
Alternatively, the A1(M) passes through Newcastle making us easily accessible for delegates driving from the south of England, Scotland or the West Coast.
