Welcome to QR Code Generator, a mobile application developed by JanoGroup LLC that helps users scan, create, and manage QR codes and barcodes.
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and what choices you have. By downloading or using the app, you agree to the practices described below.
No Account Required: You can use the app without creating an account or signing in.
No Directly Collected PII by JanoGroup LLC: We do not ask for or directly collect your name, email address, phone number, or exact location through an account system.
Support Communications: If you contact us (e.g., via email), we receive your contact information and message content only to respond to your request.
Scanned Content (On-Device Processing): Scan processing is performed entirely on your device. We do not operate servers that receive or store your scanned QR or barcode contents.
Created QR Codes: QR codes you create (text, URLs, contacts, Wi-Fi details, etc.) remain on your device.
Camera Access: Required for live scanning. Camera input is processed in real time and is not uploaded to our servers.
Photo Library / Gallery Access (Optional): If you choose “scan from gallery,” the selected image is processed on-device.
Contact Access (Optional): Used only when you choose contact-related features (e.g., creating a contact QR). Contact data is handled locally through device APIs and is not sent to our servers.
Location Access (Optional): Used only for creating location-based QR codes. We do not store your precise location on our servers.
Local App Data: Scan history, saved codes, and preferences may be stored locally on your device to improve your experience.
Sharing / Exports: If you export or share codes, those actions are handled through your device and governed by the receiving app or service’s privacy policies.
The app uses third-party SDKs to support advertising and improve reliability:
Advertising (Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads): Ads may be displayed in the app. AdMob may collect device information (such as device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data) in accordance with Google’s policies and your device settings.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS): On iOS, we may request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. Your choice affects whether ads may be personalized.
Firebase Analytics: Used to understand app usage (e.g., app opens and feature interactions) and improve functionality.
Firebase Crashlytics: Used to collect crash reports and diagnostics to fix stability issues.
Firebase Performance: Used to measure app performance and improve responsiveness.
Platform Diagnostics: Apple and Google may collect diagnostics and crash data under their own privacy policies.
We use information only to:
Process and display scanned content
Create and save QR codes and related assets
Respond to customer support inquiries
Maintain app functionality, monitor stability and performance, and comply with legal obligations
Display and measure advertisements
The app may rely on the following categories of third-party services:
Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads): Advertising and ad measurement
Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance): App analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring
Platform Providers (Apple / Google): Operating system services and app-store functionality
Map Services: Location-related screens may load map tiles (e.g., OpenStreetMap or other providers)
Product Lookup (Optional): Barcode lookups may query third-party product databases (e.g., Open Food Facts)
External Links: Opening scanned URLs or shared content is governed by third-party apps or websites
Device APIs: Camera, contacts, photo library, and location access operate under your OS permissions
Local Storage: Scan history, saved codes, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
No JanoGroup LLC Server Storage of QR Contents: We do not store your scanned QR contents or created codes on our servers.
Third-Party Retention: AdMob and Firebase may retain certain data according to their own retention policies.
Your Controls: You may delete scan history or saved items within the app (where available) or uninstall the app to remove locally stored data.
We rely on the built-in security features of iOS and Android. While reasonable precautions are taken, no system is completely secure. Please keep your device protected.
This app is intended for general audiences and is not directed toward children under 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Contact us if you believe a minor has submitted data.
Permissions: Manage camera, contacts, photo library, location, and notification permissions in your device settings.

Because QR processing occurs locally on your device, JanoGroup LLC does not transfer your scanned or created QR data internationally. However, third-party providers and external websites may process data in other countries under their own policies.
No Content Verification: QR codes may contain harmful or misleading content. We do not verify or endorse scanned data.
User Responsibility: Always verify QR codes from unknown sources.
Security Risks: Malicious QR codes may lead to phishing, malware, or harmful actions.
No Professional Advice: The app provides utility features only and does not offer legal, security, or professional advice.
As-Is Basis: The app is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, JanoGroup LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including harm caused by malicious QR codes or third-party content.
