What we offer
The Queensland Police Service has a wide range of professions and roles available so you can find the one that suits you the best! It may seem daunting at first, and the structure of the department may be a little confusing to wrap your head around, but once you understand it then you'll find the perfect place for you within the service.
When you apply to QPS, by default you will be placed into G.D. (General Duties) at the rank of Recruit. The General Duties makes up majority of the Queensland Police Service, with over half of the force being in General Duties or a General Duties Division. The service is broken down into 3 General Duties Divisions, 4 Primary Divisions, 3 Certifications and 2 Invite Only Reserve Divisions.
