Stepping inside our beloved Quezon National High School during my seventh grade year was undoubtedly the most intense feeling of anxiety and nervousness I ever felt in my body for my whole stay in QNHS. As a 12-year-old then, I was terrified of what this school would bring because it was perceived as chaotic. However, after almost 6 years, I have experienced firsthand that it is the school's excellence and strong educational culture that stand out the most more than anything.Â
As QNHS celebrates its 122nd anniversary, let us honor how powerful and adaptable we are to change, as well as how effective our institution is in helping students attain their full potential. From being a center of wisdom and exceptional students to being the home of triumphant athletes and the home of excellent campus journalism, QNHS has set a high benchmark for being a top school in the Philippines. Which alone are a enough reason to honor our hundred and twenty-two years of existence as a school.
As the Editor-in-Chief of our school publication, The Coconut/Ang Niyog, I will continue to take part in creating more history for the school with the vision to serve the whole school community through the power of journalism. As people of the press, we will always live to our mission, vision, and values to stand together by the name Quezon High.
Just as our alumni carry forward the timeless traditions of Quezon High, we, the students of today, can also uphold the morals and values that Quezon High embodies, leading toward modern innovation. Like the long-standing Acacia tree of QNHS, I believe we, the students of QNHS, can thrive and stand resilient against the adversities of time.
Happy 122nd Founding Anniversary, Quezon High! My eternal loyalty will forever be with you!
