SaeJune has co-organised the 3-day South Korea - UK THz Bilateral Exchange Session at the 2024 Korean Physical Society Fall Meeting. We had 21 invited speakers (11 from the UK and 10 from South Korea). Huge thanks to all the speakers for their wonderful contributions! I hope this event nicely feeds into the next move to form a close relationship between THz researchers in the two countries.

SaeJune visited Yonsei University in South Korea and gave an invited talk at the 14th Global Symposium on Millimeter-Waves & Terahertz on the development of THz metamaterial biosensors using free-space/on-chip THz spectroscopy.

New THz systems are on their way! We are aiming to complete installing free-space/on-chip THz systems with a fs fibre-laser in the Terahertz Laboratory as soon as possible. Also, there will be another fs laser moving in from the National Physical Laboratory. Huge thanks for this to Dr Mira Naftaly at NPL who is also a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary University of London.
SaeJune has become a Visiting Research Fellow in the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Leeds, where he has a close collaborative relationship.
SaeJune has secured a UK Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) in Terahertz Electronics to lead the Terahertz Laboratory in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London.
