All betas are fully functional and rigorously tested on:
A powerful Cirrus7 Incus (AMD Ryzen 7 8700G) with 64GB of RAM.
An entry-level NUC (Intel Core i3 Processor N355) with 16GB of RAM.
QJams runs flawlessly on both systems. More memory allows for more creativity with longer tracks and extended video timelines.

QJams 1.0
Composite tracks: Build each of the 12 session tracks from multiple audio snippets, including FLAC, MP3, OGG and WAV files.
Faster drag and drop: Drop audio files directly onto any of the 22 playlist presets, or drag selections from the multitrack timeline.
Adjustable video size: Switch between four video sizes, from 320×180 to 768×432, without interrupting your workflow.
Playback speed shortcuts: Use [ and ] to adjust playback speed in 0.1× increments, from 0.5× to 1.5×. Reset to normal speed with the dashboard Speed button.
24-bit audio export: Export recordings and mixes to 24-bit WAV and FLAC.
Improved timeline clarity: Brighter track colours and alternating shades for consecutive audio snippets make arrangements easier to read.
Smoother workflow: Improved track selection, automatic recording-track focus when opening playlist items, and a new T shortcut to toggle video size.
Expanded media support: Play audio and video in FLAC, WAV, MP3, M4A, OGG, AIFF, MKV, MP4 and WebM formats.

Beta 2.0
Video is now permanently enabled and visible as just another layer alongside the 12 stereo audio tracks. We now have DAW-quality editing functions, a large 64-state dynamic undo/redo buffer, and numerous quality-of-life improvements. QJams can now be your daily driver.
Behind the scenes, QJams has transformed its monolithic memory allocation into a dynamic, system-aware architecture, further improving speed and resource usage while opening the door for exciting new functionality.
