Q. Why does my modeler not show up in settings?

A. QJams uses autonomous hardware detection. If your device doesn't show up, it is either not switched on, not plugged in, or it uses a protocol that QJams does not recognize. If you can't get it to work, leave me a detailed message and include your log files so I can look into it.

Q. Will QJams modify my original audio?

A. No, all your original audio files stay completely unmodified. For safety, QJams also adds "MIX" to the filename of a saved FLAC, and "MIX" or "RAW" for saved videos.

Q. Is QJams safe, and does it contain malware?

A. QJams is my personal hobby project. I made it because I could not find the exact recording and jamming tool I wanted. I have no hidden agenda, so all the source code is publicly available on GitHub. You are completely free to inspect the code and ask me questions.

Q. The QJams source code is publicly available on GitHub, so can anyone use the code for their own purposes?

A. No. QJams is All Rights Reserved. It is my own creative work (which includes the code, design, etc.). Thus, QJams is under my exclusive copyright. You are, of course, free to inspect the code or request to join the project as a collaborator.
